Liverpool beat Arsenal on penalties to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after 10 goals were scored in a thrilling game at Anfield.

Gabriel Martinelli, teenage sensation enjoying a break through season in the Europa League continued his impressive goalscoring form, pouncing on a loose ball at the near post before slotting in from Saka’s pass to make it 3-1 to Arsenal. An Anfield brace for the promising teenager.
At the stroke of half time, veteran, James Milner slotted in penalty after Harvey Elliott went down in the box after contact by Arsenals golden boy atm, Martinelli, he couldn’t keep himself away from the action.
9 minutes after the interval, the goal show continued when Ozil teed up Ainsley Maitland-Niles, restoring Arsenal’s 2 goal lead. 4-2 Arsenal
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, playing against his old side got in on the action too firing in an incredible long-range strike for Liverpool before Origi’s quick turn and precise finish made it 4-4
It wasn’t over then though Arsenal took the lead once more after an incredible Willock strike, good enough to match that of Chamberlain’s moments after. Then as has been the case for Liverpool in big games. Divock Origi happened, volleying a cross from teenager Williams into the bottom corner. 5-5!
Next came the shoot out, Celebrations ensued in front of the Kop after 20-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher got a firm hand to Dani Ceballos’ penalty to set up a 5-4 shootout win.
Teenager Curtis Jones coolly slotted the final penalty in off the post to make it a perfect shootout for The Reds and into the Quarter Finals of the Caraboa Cup.
