Having long and luscious natural hair is the goal. Seems like the toughest job at times, but not to worry, here are simple steps to growing long, healthy, natural hair.


1: consume fruits, vegetables, vitamins, zinc, iron & healthy fats such as omega 3, olive oil.

2: Trim your ends when needed – don’t hang on to spilt ends because they will accelerate breakage.

3: Shampoo your hair in sections to prevent tangles and breakage.

4: Drink 8 to 12 glasses of water per day.

5: Do a protein treatment every 6-8 weeks to strengthen your hair.

6: Deep condition your hair weekly for at least 30 minutes.

7: Wear protective styles when you can protect your hair ends (especially during the winter or harmattan).

8: Pretreat your hair with natural oils and/or conditioners before shampooing for strength.

9: Massage your scalp with castor oil at night to increase blood flow which promotes growth.

10: Always trim your hair with hair cutting scissors. Paper cutting scissors can cause spilt ends.
