The sequel to 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s classic collab Savage Mode is on the way, the rapper recently announced.
The Atlanta artist is on the first leg of his I Am > I Was Tour along with DaBaby. At his recent concert, the rapper stopped the show in Los Angeles, where he performed at The Shrine and made a special announcement about his forthcoming project. As the show was closing out, 21 addressed the crowd.
“Los Angeles, California, I want to say R.I.P. to Nipsey Hussle. We lost a real soldier,” 21 said as he descended under the stage. “Savage Mode 2 on the muthafuckin way.”
Released on July 2016, the project was spearheaded by the singles “X” featuring Future and “No Heart.” It peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 chart.
21’s most recent release, I Am > I Was, came out last December and featured Post Malone, Childish Gambino, ScHoolboy Q, Offset, Lil Baby, Gunna, Travis Scott and J. Cole on the hit single “A Lot.”
