Natacha Ramsay-Levi is the new creative director for Chloe.
The brand announced Clare Waight Keller’s replacement over the weekend.
In late January, Clare Waight Keller announced she would be leaving her post as Creative Director at Chloe after six years with the brand.
Clare showed her final collection for the French Maison during Paris Fashion week A/W 17 and is set to officially depart on March 31st.
Prior to Natacha’s appointment, she has been Creative Director of women’s ready-to-wear at Louis Vuitton since 2013 and before that, she worked at Balenciaga for 11 years.
Natacha said in a statement, “I am very proud to join a house founded by a woman to dress women. I want to create fashion that enhances the personality of the woman who wears it, fashion that creates a character and an attitude, without ever imposing a look.”
It’s an interesting choice for the brand, given that Natacha, who is Nicolas Ghesquiere’s right hand woman and has worked long under Ghesquiere and his own brand’s modern, edgy and cool, which is in direct contrast to Chloe’s romantic bohemian.
It such an exciting opportunity for the brand, as they can’t wait to see what Natacha has to bring to the table.
Natacha Ramsay-Levi is said to officially assume responsibilities from April 3 and will present her first collection during spring summer September ‘18 fashion week in Paris.
