Chanel, known for making clothing and accessories that epitomise the modern woman, has got our attention one more time.
The new Chanel bag is both functional and elegant.
For the past 30 years the Creative director of the Brand, Karl Lagerfeld has continued to recreate pieces that achieve this quality, and didn’t fall short at the launch of Chanel Gabrielle “bag collection”.
Marking the brand’s first major collection since “The Boy” in 2011, the new bag collection was introduced during the spring/summer 2017 ready-to-wear runway show.
It is modelled after the binocular cases men used to wear over the shoulder at the racecourse.
The bag aesthetic is quite interesting, as the hand comes in a classic hobo version that is also available as a back pack, large shopper and more whimsical purse.
The adjustable straps similarly let you wear it three different ways: over the shoulder or across the body, allowing the bag to transform for any occasion at hand.
As chancel’s Gabrielle bag pays tribute to its Iconic founder, it also speaks to her constant desire to put women’s freedom first, and help redefine what such an adaptable handbag can symbolize for a woman; freedom of style.
