Although not centered around your everyday job, The Princess Diaries  was a peek into the harrowing job of being a royal

and was a key part of moulding me into the boss babe I am today.

Julie Andrews (Sachs’ grandmother) expertly conveyed the strength and responsibilities, a queen carries daily.

whilst tutoring Sachs about leadership and Sachs teaching her about humanity.

This movie will equip with skills to take over any task that is thrown our way with the elegance of a royal.

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

The Devil Wears Prada is the story of smart, sensible, recent journalism graduate, Andy Sachs

(played by Anne Hathaway from Princess Diaries).

who lands the job “any girl would kill for”

as a co-assistant to Miranda Priestly, a powerful fashion magazine editor in New York City. (Think Anna Wintour of Vogue)

This heartfelt yet dark comedy sees Sachs and boss ‘Priestly’, duel it out through several different instances on whether Sachs is the right woman for the job.

(Those who work in fashion-oriented or marketing roles will relate almost immediately.)

However, it ends on a positive note.

The movie will teach you to be proud of who you are and

to use all your quirks to your advantage while becoming the boss you’ve always wanted to be.

Girlboss (2016)

Girlboss that tells the story of OG boss babe, Sophia Amorusohow who started the retail company, Nasty Gal.

Sophia is the modern day badass we all want ti be, so watch, learn and take notes.

Oceans 8 (2018)

This star studded movie includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett , Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter and Awkwafina.

These con women plan an elaborate heist of the annual Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

It doesn’t get any more boss babe than Ocean’s 8 with an all-star female cast, serving you the action and humour!

King Of Boys (2018)

This movie is the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami,  a pillar of society — loved by many, feared by most, and truly known by a select few.

As her political ambitions see her outgrowing the underworld connections responsible for her considerable wealth, she’s drawn into a power struggle that threatens everything she holds dear.

To come out of this on top, she will need every ounce of the cunning, ruthlessness, and strategy that took her to the top, as well as the loyalty of those closest to her. But who can she really trust? (IMDB)

LionHeart (2019)

Genevieve’s Nollywood directoral debut, LionHeart is the perfect Boss Babe movie

Running a company can be challenging, especially if you are a female in a male-dominated industry.

Adaeze (Genevieve) is unrelenting when it comes to proving her worth to her ailing father

when he is forced to take a step back due to health issues.

Complications arise when they discover that the family business is in dire financial crisis and both Adaeze and her crude uncle (who the father imposed on her)

try to save the company via any means necessary.

Queen Sono (2020)
