Ja Rule, who’s already served time for tax evasion, allegedly owes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over $2 million.
According to reports, the IRS issued a charge for $443,442 for back taxes from income Ja Rule earned in 2016 in early March.
Along with a separate, updated lien for back taxes from 2005 through 2008, that means the rapper reportedly owes the agency a staggering $2,031, 753.
Ja Rule, who partnered with convicted fraudster Billy McFarland on the infamous Fyre Festival, in 2011 received a 28-month prison sentence for tax evasion, which he served concurrently with a sentence for gun possession.
Expectedly, after the news broke that Ja Rule owes $2m, 50 Cent could not resist the opportunity to get one over the rapper.
50 took to Instagram to mock Ja Rule.
He posted up a picture of the rapper making news and wrote “LOL come on,” he captioned the photo. “I know he not that bright but damn. #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac #bellator.”
