Serie A giants AC Milan have announced an exciting new partnership with entertainment brand Roc Nation.
Just after defeating defending champions Juventus, the good news was released by the Milan club after a successful “From Milan with Love” event hosted by DJ Khaled, an event organized to honour the efforts of key workers that have been helping the country during the pandemic period, caused by the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Struggling to get back to the top, Milan decided that the return of the club to greater heights required a different approach.
According to Ac Milan’s website, the areas of focus include philanthropy, music programming, merchandise collaboration, brand amplification and creative activation, digital strategy and execution, commercial sales and cultural events and experiences.
The club stated that there will be a merchandise collaboration, as well as various bits of digital strategy and events with the aim of achieving brand amplification in what is essentially the first agreement of its kind in Italy.
Ivan Gazidis, CEO of AC Milan, said “This partnership between AC Milan and Roc Nation represents the coming together of two powerful organisations with strong values at their core. Our shared commitment to inclusiveness, progressiveness and excellence will drive everything that we do and I am very excited for what’s to come.”
The Italian club have also been in conversations with Liverpool, who have just been crowned champions after a thirty year wait, on how to return the Italian club to the top. “We have been talking to Liverpool,” Milan chief revenue officer Casper Stylsvig said.
“They’ve been through the same path as we are going through now. We’re working very hard to get back to where we should be, and from that perspective, it does help open doors when you have won seven Champions Leagues,” Stylsvig added. “Playing European football is top of the agenda. It is our natural habitat and somewhere we should be.”
Roc Nation have made some top signings in the past, such as Marcus Rashford, who they helped win the battle for free meals for school students. Others include Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne
Milan still have quite a long way to go if they are to battle Juventus to try and win the Scudetto next season. Qualification for the champions league is also out of reach for the club, and it’s been seven years since they qualified for the champions league.
However learning from Liverpool and taking the right steps would put them on the right path back to success.
