The time we have all been waiting for is here. The five short films from the Accelerate Filmmaker Project is set to premiere at the Africa International Film Festival 2017 which begins this month, October.
The five finalists of the project went through an intensive training in the areas of production, screenwriting, directing, lighting, editing, acting, casting, makeup, branding, and marketing, among others.
The sessions were facilitated by representatives of the Nigerian film industry, including Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, O.C. Ukeje, Bibi Sasore, Bose Oshin, Lawrence Adejumo, Adeoye Omotayo, Jennifer Alegieuno, James Emokwe, Julian Nwagboniwe, Tolu Ajayi among others.
The producers of these short films, as part of their prize for winning, also got mentors to guide them as we introduce them into Nollywood with their films.

The Mentors are Joke Silva, Niyi Akinmolayan, Seyi Babatope, and Mildred Okwo, and we can only hope that the experience has changed their lives.
However, the icing on the cake is that the five winners and their short films would be presented at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) 2017.
Stay glued to Accelerate TV to get updates about the event, and you might just be one of the lucky people to get an invite to be a part of the premiere of the films on the Accelerate day.
