Another 9 months, of some of the best football in the world is upon us. After the World Cup ending almost a month ago, the English premier league cannot be starting any sooner as Football fans around the World have been waiting anxiously for its return.
The football heads here at Accelerate have made their predictions for the upcoming season. They have predicted the Champion, Top scorer and Top 4 and Relegated teams by the end of the season in May.
Charles, Dayo, Jerry, Timayo, Uche and Ayo make up the Accelerate Sports Team.
The whole team believes Manchester City would retain their title as the English Premier League Champions except Charles. Charles believes Liverpool would win their first premier league trophy this season.
Manchester United features in 3 out of 6 top 4 predictions even after their lackluster pre-season performances. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham also appear in 3 predictions each with the latter being the only team not to sign a single player in the history of the Premiership. Manchester City and Liverpool have been backed by all to finish in a top 4 which comes as no surprise as they were the two teams that finished the strongest in the upper half of the table last season.
Mo Salah is the only player to be backed more than once to repeat the feat and finish with the most goals this season. Usual suspects Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero are also being predicted as top scorers this season as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who score 13 goals in 16 matches last season for Arsenal.
One of the newcomers to the premier league this season in Cardiff City are expected to go back down to the Championship by the end of the season by 4 of our 6 analysts. Wolves and Huddersfield have also been backed by 3 and 2 analysts simultaneously to be relegated. Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leicester City, Newcastle and Burnley are also expected to go down along with Brighton.
We are obviously pumped that the season is finally about to begin. The Accelerate sextet would be back at different points during the season with their predictions and analysis. Also catch our Football show Sangaloo on Facebook every Monday and Friday for more analysis.
