So Access Bank hosted kids, adults and guests to a talk on tackling the issue of depression in Nigeria at an event themed, #LetsTalkDression and it was lit!
Not just because the event featured the showing of a short film centred around the theme titled, ‘Lights Out’, but also because the audience was wowed by the richness of the event.
The children from various schools displayed artworks, poems, among others, to portray the theme, while members of the World Health Organisation (W.H.O.), who were partners at the event also staged informed talks, revealing that there is a significant increase of more than 18% recorded cases of depression between 2005 and 2015.
There was an agreed call for more attention on the issue and we hope people who are experiencing any form of depression can find hope knowing that there are people who care about them.
