The 2016 Access Bank UNICEF Charity Shield Polo Tournament was like no other. The tournament was created to raise awareness for orphans and Internally Displaced Persons across Northern Nigeria. And the collaboration between Access and UNICEF, as well as the polo club where the tournament is held were wonderful in its efforts, raising money and attention as well as renovating an entire school. This year was particularly special because it marked the tournaments 10th anniversary. While it ultimately ended in Europe, with the Access Bank Charity Shield Polo Day at the gorgeous Guards Polo Club in London, the tournament kicked off right here in Nigeria- at the Fifth Chukker Polo & Country Club in Kaduna.
And so, the first leg of the 2016 Access Bank UNICEF Charity Shield Polo Tournament ended, bringing the fun times at the Fifth Chukker Polo Country Club to an end. But a few weeks later they were off to London! And they had a smashing good time there as well. Check out the pictures below.
