In third and final of Adwoa Aboah and Juergen Teller’s Photo series for Burberry, the British model took the world to see her family home in Ghana.

The 25 year-old began the series with the iconic photographer in London last December, which is where she grew up.

Like the previous two, she styled the shoots and cast her family and friends.

The second in the series was in New York, where she currently lives, and starred her sister, amongst others.

In the final element of the triptych she took Teller to her father’s family home in Ghana.

In Accra, the capital of Ghana, the mental-health activist posed with female family members in traditional dresses her aunt had designed in the iconic Burberry check.

Her aunt told Burberry of her creations, “I was sitting in my office and this big long bundle of Burberry fabric dropped on my desk. Adwoa called me and said, “auntie Tina, I have something for you to do, you have to make me a dress.” I’ve had a week of sleepless nights because I just wanted to get it right. My tailors are amazing and it’s just been wonderful doing something with Adwoa.

I’m not going to sleep for months. I’m still dreaming.”

Taking friend Sonny Hall with her, the model looked joyous in her ancestral home.

She told Vogue of her time in the African country that, “I tried very hard not to be too emotional about this trip, but it’s so special for everyone to see where the story started. To be in Ghana means coming home.

I’ve been able to bring close friends of mine here, and my grandma and my family have had a taste of what the other part of my life is like.”
