Day 2 held on Tuesday, May 29; it was Democracy Day,but our 20 budding filmmakers were busy developing their story ideas and treatment for the final day’s pitching. It’s never too early to start a creative task!
Then Ifeoma Chukwuogo, Producer of Bariga Sugar, Director and Filmmaker started off the day’s session with a course on Writing and Producing your Short film.
She explained to the participants all that they needed to know from Ideation to the execution of the story idea, including the marketing aspect of production.
After the first session, Lala Akindoju, the Accelerate Filmmaker Project Manager engaged the students in an interactive discussion about sample short films shown to the students.
After which these short films were appreciated and analysed to enable the young filmmakers develop a critical and knowledgeable eye with respect to the production of films.
Uduak Isong, Filmmaker and Gender Equality Advocate, also took the class on Production Master Class which was a no holds barred session with the students.
The D-day is fast approaching and the 20 participants are learning everything they can and getting ready for Friday.
