Nigeria’s qualification for the 2019 U17 African Cup of Nations took a boost after Cote d’Ivoire’s 3-0 win over Burkina Faso ensured that the Eaglets topped the group albeit on goal difference.
The Golden Eaglets will now face hosts Niger in the semi-final after they finished second with two points behind Ghana in Group A.
The young lads lost their first game against Burkina Faso 3-2 but won the second game 5-1 against Cote d’l voire to top the group with three points but with a better goal difference.
The other semifinal will see the Black Starlets of Ghana lock horns with Cote d’l voire on Wednesday.

The winners of the competition will progress to the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
