There was an ego-fight between the Tanzanian singer and our Nigerian singer during a Chris brown concert in Kenya based on who to perform before who, followed by the recent mistake made my MTV as regards giving the award for best African act to Alikiba right after honouring Wizkid with award at first.

This led to a whole lots of social media reactions and comments.

Tanzanian singer, Alikiba, who is also signed to Sony Music Entertainment has played down talks of a beef between him and Wizkid.

According to Ali Kiba who wrote on his Instagram on Friday, November 11, 2016, he has nothing but great appreciation for Wizkid.

Posting a picture of himself and wizkid shaking hands, He wrote;

“I am not happy with what has been going on, on social media . I have a great appreciation for @wizkidayo as a fellow artist and as a fan .

“I am very disappointed and saddened by the insults and attacks directed at him, and I want to be very clear that I condemn this behaviour and I believe none of my true fans are part of this irrational silliness and stupidity as they know I have always had love for @wizkidayo.

“Drown out the noise from the haters bro, congratulations on your very successful year. Much love from my real fans and from Tanzania Pamoja #KingKiba.”

Nevertheless, Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are had this to say concerning the award;

“They had announced him as the winner and if he was at the award ceremony and the award had been given to him in person, would they come back to say that the award isn’t for him anymore?

“I think there is something fishy going on about this development. If Wizkid was present to receive the award, would they have said on stage that it was an error? I really think there is something suspicious going on. The MTV EMA is not a small award, it is a very prestigious one and they cannot afford to make such a mistake because it is too costly. Personally, I think there is more to this and something suspicious is going on,” he said.
