The latest edition of the Miss South Africa beauty pageant was super lit, as the ceremony was at its 60th anniversary.
The gorgeous Bonang Matheba hosted the event, looking as gorgeous as all the contestants of the show, but one winner had to be chosen and it was 23-year-old Miss Tamaryn Green.
The beauty queen promised to build on the legacy of former title holders during her reign, after her crowning and revealed that her favourite Miss South Africa is Rolene Strauss.
She said: “I promise to build on the legacy of all former Miss South Africa title holders and to represent my country with elegance, style, beauty and unwavering commitment.”
Tamaryn Green is a 23-year-old sixth year medical student from Paarl in the Western Cape. She is also a part-time model at Boss Models and Miss SA 2018 is her eighth pageant title so far.
For winning the 2018 Miss SA beauty pageant, Green walks away with R1 million in cash from sponsors Sun International and Cell C, as well as a bouquet of other prizes valued at more than R2 million. Apart from the prize money, she also received a Nissan Qashqai.
She also gets makeup Smashbox, hair extensions by Lebelle, hair treatments, dental care, clothing, dry cleaning, grooming services, luggage and fragrances.
The Judges for the beauty pageant were Siba Mtongana, Rolene Strauss, Khanyi Dhlomo, Michelle van Breda, Khaya Dlanga, Janez Vermeiren and Anele Mdoda.
