Australian actor Harry Hains who starred in American TV series “American Horror Story” has died at age 27. Hains’ mother – former Neighbours star Jane Badler – confirmed the news on Instagram, saying her “beautiful son” son passed away on 7 January.

“He was 27 and had the world at his feet,” she wrote, alongside a series of pictures of Hains. “But sadly he struggled with mental illness and addiction. A brilliant spark shone bright too short a time… I will miss you Harry every day of my life.”

Bandler did not reveal the cause of Hains’ death. Hains was in one episode of “American Horror Story” and has also had parts in TV series “Sneaky Pete” and “The OA.” He played more prominent roles in independent movies and starred in the 2014 thriller “The Surface.” Mirror reports that Hains spoke excitedly about his plans for 2020 just six days before his death.

“TO 2020!×××The NEW ERA has already begun,” he captioned a snap of himself and a female friend on Instagram. So let’s all keep only moving forward, staying so present to enjoy each & every moment throughout this beautiful new BEGINNING – HAPPY N3W YEAR peeeeps SO MUCH LOVE & GRATITUDE FOR ALL IN MY LIFE.”

One pal had commented about this being “your year”, to which Harry replied: “Woo finallyyyy.”
