The Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun has expressed his disappointment in Ogun State workers who have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike today, Thursday, 20th October.
The governor who earlier stated that it’s a case of ‘No Work, No Pay‘ for the workers, has stated again that, it is annoying that given the financial challenges facing the country, the workers have refused to be understanding and to exercise patience.
‘We all know this, yet some are not using their brains. They have no brains and they don’t know what they are doing. They don’t have sense. I cannot give what I don’t have.” He says.
The governor who alleged the strike threat was politically instigated, also told the workers to resign and join politics if they wish.
The Olu of Ilaro, Kehinde Olugbenle, also the chairman of the Traditional Council said, “Strike is not the solution to the problem confronting the nation as the critical productivity sectors of the state will suffer.“
The Chairman of the Joint Negotiation Council, Abiodun Olakanmi said he would not banter with the government because, what is paramount is to embark on the strike in order to drive home our demands.
