Yet another lawyer is saying goodbye to Bill Cosby. Pennsylvania-based attorney Joseph Green Jr., who represented the entertainer-turned-inmate at his sentencing, filed papers indicating he wishes to withdraw from the 81-year-old’s case.
Cosby — now known as inmate No. NN7687 at State Correctional Institution Phoenix — will continue his appeal process repped by lawyers Brian W. Perry and Kristen L. Weisenberger.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Cosby, who has been behind bars since he was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison on Sept. 25, fired Green — or if Green resigned. The decision must still be approved by Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill.
Cosby’s defense team has been a veritable revolving door of representation, with the disgraced entertainer hiring Green this year following his April conviction on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
