The sequel to DC’s Aquaman is officially in development at Warner Bros.
According to reports, Aquaman’s sequel will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the original film.
James Wan, who directed the first movie that has earned over $1 billion worldwide is in negotiations to return as producer alongside Peter Safran, but it is unknown if he will also return as director.
Aquaman is DC’s biggest hit since The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. It was reported that Warner Bros. would make Aquaman 2 before the first movie even hit theatres, so it is no surprise at all that the film is advancing through the early stages of development.
