Schalke left-back, Sead Kolasinac has undergone a medical at Arsenal and agreed personal terms ahead of joining on a free transfer this summer.
However, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will only become an Arsenal player officially when the transfer window opens.
With this, Kolasinac becomes Wenger’s first signing of the upcoming transfer window (that is if he stays), with the Frenchman prioritising the left-back position as an area he needs to strengthen.
AC Milan, Chelsea, Everton, Juventus and Manchester City had also expressed interest in the 23-year-old who has been involved in eight goals this season.
Kolasinac coming to Arsenal will mean that either Kieran Gibbs or Nacho Monreal leaves this summer.
