Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is apparently open to the idea of joining Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo the Gabon international has reportedly informed the Spanish LaLiga champions of his desire to complete a move to Camp Nou. The Spanish Giants are currently in need of a striker after Luis Suarez’ injury which could have him out for the rest of the season,

Aubameyang is currently Arsenal captain and it certainly wont be the first time an Arsenal captain has jumped ship to the camp nou, Henry, Fabregas, and Vermalen amongst those to have made the similar switch

Arsenal have endured a difficult season and currently occupy 10th place in the English Premier League, a massive 37 points behind leaders Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has still managed to find the back of the net regularly this season and is the club’s top scorer with 16 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Aubameyang missed Arsenal’s two most recent league encounters following his sending suspension after being sent off against Crystal Palace and is also suspended for tonight’s FA Cup clash away to Bournemouth.

In total, the speedy forward has 57 goals in 91 games for Arsenal winning the golden boot last season
