Countries in different parts of the world are gradually recovering from the coronavirus pandemic and beginning to ease the lockdown.

New Zealand appears to be one of the countries that are fast recovering from the lockdown as it has been disclosed that some film production will commence in the country.

According to reports, Avatar Sequel by James Cameron and Lord of the Rings series will soon begin production in the Oceania country. Safety and health protocols have been approved and endorsed by the government for the shoot to begin.


The producers of the Avatar seem to be determined to ensure that the coronavirus doesn’t disrupt their film schedule. This Avatar sequel is expected to drop on December 17, 2021. It will feature stars like Zoe Saldana with Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, and Jemaine Clement joining the cast.

It might also interest you to know that other Avatar movies have been lined up for 2023, 2025, and 2027.
