Nigeria’s U15 team, the Future Eagles began the quest for the AYG medal on a winning note after they came from two goals down to claim a 3-2 victory over Morocco at the ongoing African Youth Games in Algeria.
The Moroccans took the lead through an error by the goalkeeper and went further ahead when the young Nigerians failed to clear their lines well.
In came in Feyenoord teenage sensation Lateef Omidiji Jnr and he immediately provided two assists for both Divine Nwachukwu who scored a brace and Chidera Ejiofor to complete the comeback.
Nigeria will next play Djibouti on Saturday and then play Libya on Monday.
