Barcelona broke the record of most titles won after they defeated Sevilla 2-1 to win the first ever one-legged Spanish Super Cup game played in Morocco on Sunday.
The Super Cup trophy became the Catalonian club’s 90th trophy in their history and also Lionel Messi’s first trophy as a captain.
Pablo Sarabia opened scoring in the 4th minute before Gerard Pique equalized in the 41st minute to make it all square before halftime.
Ousmane Dembele then scored the winning goal before Ter Stegen saved a 91st minute penalty from Ben Yedder to ensure they lifted their first title this season.
