If you have apple cider vinegar in your kitchen shelf it is time to bring it out because it can actually help you deal with stubborn belly fat. The high potassium content in apple cider vinegar helps stabilise blood sugar levels, while the organic acids and enzymes contribute to the fat-burning process. Here are the ways to use Apple Cider to fight belly fat.
Drink apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach
Drinking two teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach in the morning will help you stay full longer, as well as avoid water retention. Start by having one teaspoon and increase it to two teaspoons after a week.
Mix apple cider vinegar with water
Add one tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water and drink this 10-15 minutes before meals. This can be done two to three times a day. Doing this can help to deal with belly fat.
Drink apple cider vinegar with honey
If you find the taste of apple cider vinegar too strong, you can mix it with a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup. However, this is not advisable if you are diabetic or insulin resistant since both honey and maple syrup can spike sugar levels.
Dilute apple cider vinegar with cinnamon powder
Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of warm water mixed with organic apple cider vinegar, as this helps control blood sugar levels as well as curbs appetite.
Sprinkle apple cider vinegar over salads
Generously adding organic apple cider vinegar to your salads will not only increase flavour, but also speed up a sluggish metabolism and, in turn, help you lose weight and belly fat.
