This year’s Oscars has had one of the most remarkable red carpet outings yet as Hollywood celebrities brought on their most show-stopping looks in full fashion.
From Billy Porter’s tux-gown to Lady Gaga’s hip inserts, here are some of our best and worst looks on the red carpet.
Gemma Chan In Valentino
This dress happens to nail both comfortable and magical at the same time. The Crazy Rich Asian star managed to make all 100 yards of the fabric sensational.
Lady Gaga in Alexander McQueen
Lady Gaga’s feature in A Star Is Born and the song with Bradley was heart rendering and so was her style at the 2019 Oscars. Looks like Gaga is getting back in the groove with her edgy, trend setting style again.
Michelle Yeoh In Ellie Saab
The cast of Crazy Rich Asians served major class but none like our favorite Asian mum; Michelle Yeoh. She looked absolutely perfect and regal in her Ellie Saab beautiful ball gown.
Tessa Thompson In Chanel
Tessa may have played it risqué with this black with gold highlights Chanel tube gown but she wore it with effortless perfection.
Jennifer lopez In tom Ford
Jlo was apparently the shiniest of the night and she certainly nailed the look. She is definitely still Jenny from the block.
Sarah Paulson in Brandon Maxwell
Another pink fever here with Sarah in this gigantic ball gown from Brandon Maxwell. This outfit could have easily been a miss but her charisma and carriage saved the day and we want more of this Sarah Paulson on the red carpets.
Ashley Graham in Zac Posen
Ashely is not exactly famous for her sartorial taste on the red carpets so it was pleasantly surprising to see her in this achingly fitted sheath dress that graced every curve and accentuated all edges.
Regina King In Oscar de la renta
After over 30 decades in the film industry, Regina Oscar won her first Oscar last night and she did it wearing this incredibly sexy in a high slit gown from Oscar de la Renta.
Emma Stone In Louis Vuitton
While social media fashion critics can’t decide if Emma looks like a honey comb or a waffle in this dress, we have to agree the brown of the gown of this gown suits Emma too well.
Kiki Layn in Versace
In a night dominated by pink, Kiki Layn won in her Atelier Versace Gown.
Amandla Stenberg In Miu Miu
The Everything, Everything star may be young but she is definitely owning her own in the fashion space. Stenberg looked every inch classy in her silver fringe dress from Mui Mui.
Linda Cardinelli in Schiaperelli
Green book star, Linda caught the ruffles fever and showed up in this Schiaperrili ostentatious gown. Uhm… Feathers? Chicken? Eggs? Lips sealed!
Angela probably anticipated the infamous LA rain so she had Givenchy design for her a dress with a poncho?
Charlize Theron in Dior
Charlie’s hairstyle, beauty look and choice of jewelry were on point but the dress was clearly a miss. Wrong color for skin tone, misfit and generally drab.
Though pink was the color of the night, Maya Ruldoph’s dress just hurt the eyes. Overly voluminous and floral pattern of the fabric did little to help the cause of the gown.
