Wow! A fierce, inspiring video of Beyoncé’s song, Freedom has quickly gone viral.

The pop icon teamed up with Chime for Change and The Global Goals to release the short film showing an international troupe of fierce, charismatic young girls ages 5 – 11, lip syncing and dancing to her 2016 song “Freedom” in celebration of International Day of the Girl.

The video shared some really upsetting statistics such as 71% of human trafficking victims are girls, 63 million girls have undergone female genital mutilation, 1 in 4 girls gets married as a child, 130 million girls are out of school.

The video was directed by MJ Delaney who says “Happy, smiley joy doesn’t really cut the mustard now,.A lot has happened globally, and I wanted to do something defiant and angry and demanding.”

It’s a call to take action and share the film with what #FreedomForGirls means to you. Visit the Global Goals page to see how you can help.
