Bill Cosby’s retrial on sexual assault charges has begun after a judge rejected a request by the defence team to remove a juror who allegedly said the disgraced US megastar is guilty.
If found guilty, Cosby could spend the rest of his life in jail for drugging and molesting former basketball player Andrea Constand 14 years ago. Cosby denies the charges.
Meanwhile, some damning revelations have been made. According to online reports, Bill Cosby paid the woman accusing him of sexual assault almost $3.4m in a civil settlement in 2006.
The actor, who starred in the 1980s TV series The Cosby Show, has faced allegations from dozens of other women but has denied them all.
His first trial, in June 2017, ended when the jury failed to reach a verdict.
