Wa-kan-da money is zet?
“Black Panther” is now the 10th highest-domestic-grossing movie ever after grossing $500m in 17 days of debuting in theatres.
This past weekend, the movie made another $65m to add to its stunning romp in movie theatres since debuting, making it the third-highest weekend of all time after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $90.2 million and “Avatar” at $68.5 million.
Going by these figures, the movie is now the second-highest grossing Marvel movie of all time at the domestic box office after surpassing “Avengers: Age of Ultron” this weekend at $459 million and trailing only “The Avengers” at $623.4 million.
But industry watchers say, the movie might surpass “The Avengers” figures in the coming weeks and even top that of “Jurassic World” at $652 million and “Titanic” at $659 million eventually.
Also with these figures so far, there are already indications that a sequel will follow soon.
Are you ready for another #Wakanda? Wait, that was rhetorical.
