The House of Representative member, Abdulmumin Jibrin decided to mark 100 days of budget padding scandal in the House.

He did this by visiting his constituency in Kano State on Wednesday and distributing gift items which included Motorcycles, generators, sewing machines, grinding machines as well as giving scholarship packages to over 1,000 pupils.

The law maker who is said to have been found guilty of ethics violation, was suspended ‘without pay’ on 21st September from participating in the activities of the house for a year.

The lawmaker is quoted to have said, “ I have done many empowerment programmes before I ventured into politics, I continued when I was elected and I sustained the tempo despite my suspension.

This is a clear testimony that we hold our people dear to our heart irrespective of politics.”

It is reported that not less than 5000 constituents benefited from the scheme.
