Bayern Munich president, Karl Heinz Rumnenigge, slammed Jerome Boateng, following Bayern Munich’s shock Champions League defeat to Rostov last week.
Boateng has been under fire in recent weeks, as fans and also critics have slammed his lackluster performance in Bayern’s last couple of games.
However, it was criticism from the club president that really hit close to home, as the Rummenigge, urged Boateng, to focus more on football. The 28-year old, was quick to respond, see his response below:
“I can only laugh about these statements,” Boateng told Sky.
“Next time he can say it personally in my face – and then it’s fine.”
Boateng has made seven Bundesliga appearances this season, five of those as a starter, with defending champions Bayern second in the table, three points behind surprise leaders RB Leipzig.
