In a hugely gratifying moments for Nigerians, the British Prime Minister, one of the most powerful
women in the world, showed up in Nigeria on a one day work visit wearing a jacket made by Nigerian
designer, Emmy Kasbit.

The custom-made aso-oke jacket is from Emmy Kasbit’s Spring 18 Collection.

The fashion designer, real name Emmanuel Okoro, is one of Nigeria’s most promising designers, having
been discovered during the Lagos Fashion Week and  was the lucky recipient of the Fashion Focus Fund
powered by FETS Wallet. Apparently he’s having an exceptional year whilst bringing Nigerian fashion to
the world.

Prime Minister Theresa May who looked radiant in her aso-oke Infused fashion style shared a photo of
meeting Emmanuel Okoro, the founder of Emmy Kasbit on her Instagram page.

She captioned it: “I was delighted to meet @emmykasbit who designed the jacket I wore in #Nigeria #UKAfrica#MadeInNigeria.”
