Still getting massive reviews for his recent album “Outside”, Burna Boy has added another feather to his cap as he inks publishing deal with international music publishing company, Universal Music.
The deal will give the artiste, who also recently enjoyed a massive boost in sales of one of the tracks off the album titled “Ye,” the rights to all his due royalties when his compositions are used commercially. As part of the deal, Universal Music is to license all his songs, help monitor where his songs are used and collect the expected royalties.
In addition, this deal will also help him secure commissions for his music and promote his existing works to recording artistes, film and television.
Apart from Burna Boy being able to make money from this deal, this comes at a very important stage in his career as this will help him manage his songs better, most especially against copy rights exploitations and so on.
