For the second year in a row, a Nigerian has won BET’s ‘Best International Act Award’. Following Davido’s footstep last year as the winner of the award, Burna Boy, the self-proclaimed African Giant now has some bragging rights as the winner of this year’s award.

Burna Boy was nominated alongside Teni Makanaki and Mr Eazi in the category, but he beat all completion to emerge tops.
The award was however received by Burna’s mum and manager, Bose Ogulu, and in her acceptance speech, she said that the message from Burna would be that ‘every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.”
Big up Burna!
