Enyimba began their campaign at the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on a good note after they overcame Mali’s Djoliba 2-0 at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Sunday.
Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita was in fine form as he kept Enyimba attackers at bay for most of the first half.
However, in the second half, Isiaka Oladuntunye scored to give the Aba side the lead three minutes after break before Stanley Dimgba scored from the penalty spot in the 80th minute after Freedom Omofowan was tripped inside the box.
The people’s elephant will next face CARA Brazzaville of Congo on the 15th of May.
