Two of Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Confederation cup, MFM and Akwa United crashed out of the competition yesterday.


MFM forced Djoliba of Mali to a 0-0 draw in Mali but that wasn’t enough as they fell 1-0 at home to the Malians in the first leg.

Akwa United defeated Al Hilal of Sudan 3-1 but bowed out on away goals rule.

The Uyo boys had lost 3-0 to the Sudanese in the first leg.

Meanwhile, Enyimba was the only survivor as they held Bidvest Wits to a goalless draw in Aba,thereby qualifying on a 1-1 aggregate after holding the South Africans to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Bidvest.
