CAF has stripped Ghana of hosting the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) which is just three months away. The eight-team tournament is scheduled to take place between 17 November to December 2018.

CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad, cited their ill preparedness towards the hosting of the competition as the body’s reason to take the decision while further stating that several countries were being engaged over the hosting of the events.

A new host will be announced next month during the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Egypt.
