Enyimba made sure of a victory on their return to their home ground in Aba as they dispatched Congo’s CARA Brazzaville 1-0 in their CAF Confederation Cup matchday-six Group C clash played at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba yesterday.
Wasiu Alalade who came on as a substitute in the second half, netted the winning goal in third minute of added time bundling the ball home after Mfon Udoh’s free-kick came off the crossbar.
The Peoples Elephant finished top of the group with 12 points, three more than second placed CARA. Williamsville of Ivory Coast who were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Djoliba of Mali finished third with eight points.
The renovated stadium must be good motivation.
