Cassper Nyovest did one for the books this weekend, as he made history after selling 68,000 tickets at the #FillUpFNB concert.
Cassper held his third fill up concert and this time, he set out to fill up the FNB stadium which is the largest stadium in Africa. A task that seemed impossible, Cassper’s goal was to triple the number of fans that turned out for his first fill up concert at the Dome in 2015.
Very few were willing to sponsor what looked like an impossible task, however Standard Bank came through for the rapper.
Cassper however did not sell out the entire stadium but the Tito Mboweni artist made history and he put South African hip hop on a new track.
He was only 7,000 people short of reaching his target of 75,000. The rapper has outsold the likes of Rihanna and Justin Bieber when they performed at the stadium.
The energy around the stadium was electrifying and the stage design was remarkable, making this a concert that will go down in history.
After the concert lots of celebrities and fans came out to congratulate the rapper for his achievement.
Again, the rapper has already set his sights out on filling up the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban, surely sponsors will roll out in numbers after his achievement at the FNB stadium. Congratulations to Cassper and we look forward to #FillupMosesMabhida.
