This week in Celebrity Style, we are back with more Halloween inspo just in time for the trick or treat parties this weekend.
While Nigerians were busy debating and pulling their hair out at the audacity to celebrate Halloween in the country, Lagos saw two events that granted our favourite celebrities the opportunity to show up and show out costume wise.
Event 1: ‘Falz the Bahd Guy’ spent his weekend living it up at his ‘Haunted House ‘ birthday party and Event 2: Schweppes Nigeria hosted a costume party for tv’s elite at Moist Beach Oniru.
Both events were complete mirrors of each other and you’d surmise this yourself.
His stylist, John Angel did NOT do justice to this get up. As Nigerians would say, he didn’t ‘complete work’. Anything worth doing is worth doing well and honestly speaking, that clown face was poorly executed and the hair was of the cheapest synthetic category.
Still clowning about, we had Simi who was shamed by fans for being lazy with the costume.
She was channeling the Joker and I begrudgingly have to agree. We love you Simi, but more effort would have gone a long way.
Ebuka was the man behind the mask. No stylist needed, he donned a red jumpsuit and a Salvador Dali mask reminiscent of the protagonists in the Netflix Series MONEY HEIST
For those of you who represent the ‘last minute’ fan club, this DIY look is right up your alley.
The Moist Beach turnout for @swheppesng (on the other hand) was colorful and well thought of.
Here are some of the best dressed stars and we’ve even included the designers who slayed their costumes.
She turned up in a modern day twist on Belle from The Beauty and The Beast.
Designer: Weizdhurm Franklyn
She arrived as a Modern Day Pocahontas wit an outfit designed by @fablanebyderin
Eku Edewor nailed her special appearance, giving us her take on the maestro, Frida Kahlo.
The Beverly Osu
Speaking of Disney characters, we just had to include this throwback of Beverly Osu’s spread in Taylor magazine.
She served us a stunning cocoa infused Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin.
