Brazilian club Chapecoense has extended the contract of defender Alan Ruschel, who was part of the team that was involved in the famous air crash that killed 19 of his teammates.
Ruschel who recently returned to action after a long time out, had his contract renewed till the end of 2020.
The crash on the 28th of November in 2016 in Colombia took the lives of 71 people while Ruschel, defender Neto, goalkeeper Jackson Follmann and journalist Rafael Henzel survived.
Chapecoense overcame the setback to finish eighth last season and secure a spot in the prestigious Copa Libertadores this term.
