So you know how football stars exchange shirts after a game in the spirit of togetherness?
A little explanation:
Exchanging jerseys is a long-term tradition in football as a way of promoting oneness and togetherness in the game and debunk fallacies of disputes between football clubs. Although age-long rivalries have added colour to the game as fans of respective clubs try to claim the bragging rights over one another.
Back to present:
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has shared a star-studded collection of football shirts he has collected, including that of some greatest players in the game.
The Argentine took to the social media to share the his jersey room alongside his son, Thiago showing off his idols such as Francesco Totti, Thierry Henry and Real Madrid forward, Raul Gonzalez.
We would recall, that Lionel Messi once claimed that he does not fancy exchanging shirts after the game.
He said he once made an exception with Zinedine Zidane, though, saying: “I am not one to ask to swap shirts. I asked, once… I asked Zidane.”
The sper football player added that: “Guti came and asked me. He asked me when we were here (Nou Camp) and when we played there (Bernabeu). In both matches. I don’t ask for shirts. If there is an Argentine, I will swap with an Argentine. If not and there is someone else that asks me, I will swap with them. If not, I do not look and do not ask.”
