Chelsea became the first English top-flight side to field more than one player born in the 21st century in a single domestic match as they returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Newcastle in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
A brace from Michy Batshuayi and a stunning free-kick from Marcos-Alonso was enough to see the Blues scale through. Marcos Alonso’s goal made him the first defender to score up to 10 goals in a single season.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu became the youngest players under the age of 20 to make their debuts in the competition.
