Chuba Akpom has bid farewell to his parent club Arsenal after a deal with Belgian side Saint-Truidense was agreed yesterday pending a medical which will be done today.
The former England U21 international was among the 17,625 spectators that watched Sint-Truidense take on Racing Genk in the Belgian First Division A last weekend and will be penning a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Akpom first trained with Arsenal at the age of six, and is set to leave the club where he has spent the last sixteen years of his career.
Akpom made 12 first-team appearances for the Gunners, and provided two assists in those games while also playing for the U23s.He also had a loan spells at Hull City, Brighton amongst others.
