Portuguese maestro, Cristiano Ronaldo was in imperious form yesterday as he led Portugal to a 5-1 win over Lithuania in their Euro 2020 qualifier.
The 34-year old opened the scoring from the penalty spot before the Lithuanians equalized few minutes later.
Ronaldo went on to add three more goals before William Carvalho added the fifth in the dying minutes.
Ronaldo thus became the all-time leading scorer in European qualifying games with 25 goals taking over from Roy Keane who had topped with 23 goals.
He also moved closer to breaking the record for most international goals scored with 93 goals, 16 goals shy of Iranian Ali Dei’s record of 109 goals.
