Cristiano Ronaldo has denied seeking any improved Real Madrid contract after several reports claimed he was pressuring the Merengue board for a salary raise.

Ronaldo’s side were defeated by Tottenham 3-1 in Wednesday’s Champions League clash but when asked if he would renew his contract, Ronaldo squashed such claims stating that ‘doesn’t want to renew’.

“I am doing very well at Real Madrid. I have four years left on my contract and I don’t want to renew. I am fine.”

With Neymar signing a lucrative agreement with Paris Saint-Germain upon becoming the world’s most expensive signing and Lionel Messi recently extending his own Barcelona deal, it was expected that the Real Madrid forward would make same request.

Ronaldo will be 36 years by the time his contract ends in 2021.
