Producer, Sound engineer and recording artiste, Da Suspekt has quit label Capital Hill Music, where he has served for two decades.
On Twitter, Suspekt says:
“CAPitalHill has been the best years of my life. Now Im building anyHow Records from scratch, Pls Give me Ur support & loyalty #bless!”
The news of course was greeted with different reactions.
Far back as secondary school, Da Suspekt met with Clarence Peters, they found a group but Capital Hill Music was formed when Clarence returned to Nigeria from South Africa.
In 2010, rapper Kel was signed to the label, she left and then Chidinma.
Speaking on the subject of his difference to Vanguard that it’s his ability to infuse humour in his songs
“The fact that I infuse humour in my music has made me different. Even if I want to talk about the government, I still add humour to the music”.
“Finding something people can connect to has also been my selling point, he adds.
Other artistes that left the comapny Kel, Fefe and Chidinma, leaving artists like Mzkiss, Illbliss and the video director Clarence Peters still under the label.
