Reports from Premium Times says that, a retired Air Marshal, Tony Omeniyi, who is accused of diverting over N136 million from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been ordered to be remanded at the Kuje prisons until date for ruling on his motion for bail.

The order was issued on friday by Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court in Abuja, FCT, after the accused pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the counts of charges against him.

It is reported that the alleged diverted sum of money was meant for the purchase of arms.

The accused was arrainged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his company – Huzee Nigeria Limited.

The counsel to the defendant, Mr. Wahab Olatunji, and the EFCC prosecutor argued their motion for bail and counter-affidavit to the motion for bail before the judge, who reserved ruling on their applications till the next sitting on the 14th of November, 2016.
